The Mystery Of Scooby’s Bottomless Hunger

Posted in by admin on the June 13th, 2011

Throughout the years Scooby Doo has been constantly hungry and asking for his beloved Scooby Snacks. The question is though, why is Scooby always hungry? Where does this bottomless hunger come from? Though there are many speculations as to why Scooby is hungry, it can all be summed up in to a few possible and logical reasons.

First, Scooby is dog who is constantly being fed unnutritional food items such as hamburgers, hotdogs, and other various things. Throughout the show’s years of airing, he is constantly eating with Shaggy at various places and always talking about how hungry he is. Scooby Doo is not just a dog though, he’s on of the gang, and they treat him as an equal.

This hunger could also be a cause of the stress that he feels from all the mysterious ghosts and ghouls. It’s hard work being a master in crime investigation and still being a dog.

The only thing that is closely dog related through the whole Scooby Doo show is his Scooby Snacks. These are his special treats which are exactly that, dog treats. Though there are times when Shaggy too would like a Scooby Snack, we all know that these snacks are specificly for scooby.

Perhaps if Scooby were getting a substantial meal, and something that a crime investigating dog should have, he wouldn’t be hungry all the time.

Though these are some logical reasons as to why poor Scooby is always hungry, there is no actual answer to the Mystery of Scooby’s Bottomless Hunger. Maybe one day as Scooby Doo progresses we will be able to solve this Mystery and then, we shall hear a well known “Jinkies” from Thelma.
