Over the years, the Mystery Inc. team has graced our T.Vs and movie theatres. But who are the members of Mystery Inc.? And who are just some of the actors and actresses that have brought them to life?Fred Jones The original and current voice for the cartoon show has been provided by Frank Welker. Fred is best known for always taking charge, setting traps, and his romantic feelings for Daphne. These feelings are best brought to life by Freddie Prinze Jr. in Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monster’s Unleashed.Daphne Blake Alongside her husband, Freddie Prinze, Sarah Michelle Gellar played Daphne in 2002 and 2004. Frequently kidnapped by the bad guys, Daphne is still one of the most liked characters in Mystery Incorporated. Indira Stefanianna Christopherson supplied Daphne’s voice for the first year that Scooby-Doo aired; however, it was Heather North Kenney that took over. Kenney played Daphne for fifteen years (1970-1985) and provided her voice in 1997 and 2003 as well. (more…)

No, this post isn’t referring to the recent live-action flicks. Instead, it’s regarding the hour long episodes which starred some of the world’s greatest celebrities. Starting in 1972, these 24 cartoons were actually called the New Scooby-Doo Movies, and they were a big hit. That’s why we’re sharing our top ten favorites!10. “The Haunted Candy Factory” With celebrity guest Cass Eliot (from Mama’s and the Papas), Scooby Doo and the gang have to solve a sugar-coated mystery and capture the Cotton Candy Globs.9. “The Haunted Horseman of Hagglethorn Hall” “hey, hey it’s Davy Jones,” member of the Monkees. Solve your own virtual mystery
The Scooby-Doo rides aren’t the only way to get inside Scooby’s world. Game makers have been providing Mystery Inc. games for years. From old games for the Nintendo 64 and more recent ones for the Xbox and Wii, there’s something to fit any of your favorite consoles.For the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color there’s the Scooby-Doo: Classic Creep Capers game. Based on the old cartoons, you (as Shaggy) travel from level to level looking for clues. Scooby is with you as you attempt to solve three mysteries. Just don’t let the Mystery Inc. duo get too scared. While you won’t have to restart the game, the level will start over.Scooby-Doo Mystery Mayhem also involves Scooby and Shaggy, however in this game, you can switch between the two. When a gang of monsters gets released from an ancient book, the Tome of Doom, it’s up to the game to put these ghouls, goblins and zombies back where they belong. (more…)
Scooby-Doo. . . where are you?
The 2002 Scooby-Doo movie was not one of the worst films. Scooby-Doo is directed by Raja Gosnell, the man behind such 90′s classics as Mrs. Doubtfire and the Home Alone films. Meanwhile Craig Titley (Percy Jackson and the Olypmians: The Lightning Thief) and James Gunn (Slither) are responsible for the story. So how did Gosnell, Titley and Gunn pull of the classic cartoon? Let’s put it this way, most Scooby fans will probably wonder, classic Scooby-Doo. . . where are you?The opening shows a transformed Mystery Incorporated. Tensions emerge, and not even 20 minutes in the gang has broken up. The park only had two rides then (Ghoster Coaster being one) and wouldn’t offer more until its 1975 opening. This Scooby-Doo adventure takes park guests on a rip-roaring adventure over a bright blue wooden coaster.
